From castles to city centres – Why clients are choosing to embrace building wraps for their construction projects

When scaffolding goes up, wraps become a necessary, but often unsightly, requirement to protect the building, workforce and those below. Yet building wraps can now do far more than just mask scaffolding. With the latest print techniques and materials, organisations are increasingly using building wraps to transform their construction sites into eye-catching advertisements, works of art or even visual replicas of the structure beneath.

From Blenheim Palace to Harrods, we have helped provide clients with a seamless experience – from concept and design through to production and installation – ensuring that building wraps not only protect but enhance too.

Why choose Moss for building wraps?

Unlike many in the industry, we print and manufacture all our building wraps entirely in-house, with our three five-metre UV Durst printers, 80-foot welder and production area perfect for even the largest graphics! Our open-house policy means clients can see production firsthand, providing peace of mind and a clear understanding of how their designs will come to life.

Our building wraps use a durable, recyclable banner mesh material designed for longevity and vibrant, high-quality print results. Each building wrap not only serves a functional purpose but also becomes a statement piece that draws attention and admiration.

We pride ourselves on providing bespoke solutions for a wide range of needs. For example, during our work on the iconic London Coliseum, we collaborated with the photographer to capture the building’s intricate details before the scaffolding went up. The resulting images were scanned, sampled and colour-matched to create a building wrap which, when installed by our highly qualified professionals, seamlessly mirrored the original structure. This level of precision ensures that even the most complex designs are executed flawlessly.

Creative ad wrap campaigns

Similarly, we partnered with GESS Ltd and blowUP media to create a standout 3D print ad wrap solution for Actimel. The design featured a torn panel effect, with a second layer of material mimicking the look of wind-blown posters. By leaving some edges loose, the wind naturally interacted with the design, creating a dynamic and eye-catching look that decorated the building.

Printed onto semi-coated PVC, the installations were durable and weather-resistant, holding strong throughout the campaign. Over 51.5 square metres was used at the site on Curtain Road while the Liverpool Holiday Inn covered a huge 267.2 square metres!
