Leading the way in
sustainable branding and signage solutions
At Moss we are dedicated to putting sustainability at the forefront of everything we do. To ensure we are unwavering in this mission, our actions are measurable and validated in conjunction with our ESG action plan. We aim to bring about meaningful change and lead the way in solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our work, striving to specify the best-in-class products, whilst considering all environmental impacts and auditing our supply chain to ensure their ethics and strategies align with ours.
As per our latest independent report, we have reduced our carbon emissions by 16% per square metre of material, and we are on track to achieve our goal to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% by 2030.
Our strategy is built upon five pillars that place sustainability at the heart of our business, operations and initiatives. These pillars guide our actions and decisions, ensuring we make a positive and measurable impact on the environment, our business and the community.
"In everything that we do at Moss UK, we will put protecting our planet at the forefront of our solutions. At every stage of our involvement, in every project, we will aim to mitigate any negative impact to our environment, and we will never tire of making positive environmental change."
Michael Green - Managing Director, Moss UK

our carbon calculator
Our Carbon Calculator, provided at no additional cost, delivers an accurate, fully verified Carbon Emissions Report for every graphics and brand project we deliver.
The tool measures the emissions impact of each materials, vehicle movement, and installation process involved, giving you a clear, data-driven view of your project’s environmental footprint from the very beginning. This transparency empowers clients to make informed choices, explore lower-impact alternatives, and evolve their projects with sustainability front of mind.
Moss UK x spiro x sheltersuit
Blending purpose-driven creativity with sustainability, we have joined forces with experiential marketing agency Spiro, alongside non-profits Sheltersuit UK and Street Pastors UK, to create portable, weather-resistant sleeping bags with a built-in mattress and large, tented hood, made specifically for the UK climate and for people experiencing homelessness in the UK. What started as a simple conversation sparked a powerful collaboration between organisations driven to create real change.
So, how are they sustainable? Instead of letting event graphics go to waste, materials such as blackback canvas, which would otherwise have a short lifespan, are repurposed into practical, durable and purposeful creations. At Sheltersuit, the team make sure to utilise every scrap of material, even adapting other designs to incorporate other fabrics.
Our
Sustainable
Solutions
As part of our commitment, we are passionate about supporting our clients to implement sustainable solutions for their branding and signage needs. Our expertise and innovative approaches enable us to provide eco-friendly options that not only meet their requirements but also contribute to reducing their environmental impact. By collaborating closely with our clients, we ensure that every project aligns with our shared sustainability objectives, fostering a greener future for all.
Materials
Specifying the correct material is key, but using the optimum amount of material for the project is equally as important. We can use our ERP system LIFT to select the appropriate volume of material based on the stock and manufacturer available, but also suggest materials that are fully recyclable or have been made from recycled materials.
Inks
The ink that we use is paramount, we will only use manufacturers ink in their devices, all our inks are Green Guard Certified, hold the Nordic Swan Certification, and meet the Environmental Agency Gold Standard. Additionally, any waste ink is recycled back as waste to energy through approved sources.
Minimising wastage
As a manufacturer, the equipment that we use can have a major environmental effect, so when we upgrade our machinery the choices that we make can have major consequences. With our most recent purchases, we made considerations on energy consumption, connectivity, automation and quality of output versus speed of production.
Packaging
We will use bespoke packs, so your printed product is appropriately packed and re-use any packaging that has been supplied to us to pack the product. Should we need to utilise bubble wrap, ours is recycled along with our document holders. We offer tube and core collection schemes so any packaging can also be returned for re-use.
Local crews
To minimise travel requirements and enhance efficiency, we utilise local crew members whenever possible, and by doing so significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with long-distance travel. We also consolidate delivery runs to ensure maximum efficiency, reducing the number of trips needed and further decreasing our environmental impact.
Recycling
We offer comprehensive recycling solutions that are seamlessly integrated into our project services. Our approach includes the retrieval and recycling of materials used during our clients’ projects, ensuring that waste is managed responsibly and sustainably. In doing so, we help our clients minimise their environmental impact and contribute to a circular economy.
Where Sustainability Meets Impact
At Moss, sustainability drives everything that we do. Every project starts with a conversation, where we listen carefully and think bigger to deliver better outcomes. From studio creativity and precision colour management, to smart material choices guided by our Lift ERP, sustainability is embedded at every stage. We test under real conditions, plan intelligently, and work efficiently on site to reduce impact without compromising quality.
High impact for audiences, low impact for the planet.
Built to impress. Designed to last. Powered by purpose.

Together we can bring meaningful change and build a more sustainable world.
Since November 2023, we have partnered with Tobacco Dock to become their preferred supplier of sustainable graphics, marking an important step towards enhancing sustainability practices at this London venue.
With a site spanning 16,000 metres and comprising of 57 versatile spaces, this partnership promises to bring forth innovative branding and graphics solutions tailored to the venue’s intricate Grade 1 listed architecture.
Our vision aligns with Tobacco Dock’s ethos, with the core focus of the collaboration being to introduce sustainability on a grand scale within events held at the venue, aiming to significantly reduce waste and environmental impact.
Case Study: ICE London 2023
In February 2023, we piloted a new initiative to help clients exhibiting at ICE London at the ExCeL meet their sustainability objectives. We delivered an end-to-end, turnkey graphics solution for multiple exhibitors that included print, install, derig, sorting, waste collection, and recycling through fully audited waste streams.
Analysis of the data post-event showed that 1500 square metres of graphics materials were collected, graded, and processed by our Sustainability Team and diverted from potential landfill disposal. Although complex in the planning, we developed effective processes on site to minimise impact for the client whilst maximising the quantity of materials reclaimed, resulting in a trouble-free operation.
