“Well, that’s a wrap! Our third Sustainable Print Open Day was a hit.

Our aim was simple; to give attendees a glimpse behind the curtain, sharing our company’s journey, and how as MacroArt – soon to be Moss – we are providing branding solutions, which have a reduced impact on the environment, to a growing number of clients worldwide.

For some people, this may have been their first chance to see what our business is all about, and in what is always a busy day from start to finish – it goes by in a flash!

Buyers frequently face challenges in understanding print materials, where “sustainability” often means different things to different people. When isla Community Director, Ellie Ashton-Melia first approached us to deliver an immersive learning experience for their isla members to bridge this knowledge gap, it was an offer we couldn’t refuse.

The open days have proven immensely successful within the isla community, establishing themselves as a key component of their event programme. They are structured to be more than just a meet-and-greet and are not only about mutual learnings, but sharing valuable insights which attendees may recommend for their own businesses or wider supply chain.

We give a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the heart of our production facility, taking our guests on a journey mirroring the life cycle of an order; with specific attention to material selection, production & finishing considerations, and managing waste.

The entire premise of the day is to share learnings into how different parts of the industry are evolving and how we can collectively adapt to stay ahead of the curve. As a business, we try to embrace a collaborative approach, therefore the feedback and alternative perspectives offered by isla members at these events are invaluable.

The day was far from scripted. Open dialogue allowed genuine interaction and learning for all in attendance. In what proved once again to be a vibrant and collaborative working environment, it was amazing to see how shared knowledge led to so many great conversations and ideas.

Engaging with such a passionate group of people from across the industry deepens my appreciation for the wonderful world of events. The shared enthusiasm displayed on the day reinforces my belief that the power of collaboration is paramount in driving measurable change.”
