A Day That Inspired and Empowered
We teamed up with Inspire 2 Ignite to deliver an immersive Industry Experience Day, giving a group of curious and ambitious young people the chance to step inside the world of large scale branding, visual merchandising, and creative production. This wasn’t just a tour – it was hands-on, real industry experience, designed to spark interest and open doors to future careers.
From the moment participants arrived, they became active contributors in the production journey, following a live printing job from concept to creation. Throughout the day, they:
- Captured their own image on arrival
- Tracked it through our online systems
- Sent the design to our studio team and attached it to a frame of their choice
- Observed the cutting and stitching process
- Built their own frames, leaving with a keepsake they designed themselves!
The energy throughout the day was electric. Young people asked insightful questions, explored different aspects of the industry, and gained first-hand experience of how modern technology and traditional craftsmanship come together to create outstanding visual displays.

Hands-on Experience That Left a Lasting Impact
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:
“My child has come home showing off their frame, safeguarding her new water bottle, and chatting constantly about the day. She’s now thinking of applying for part-time work! This week was going to be so challenging for her, but you have got her inspired. I am so grateful!” – Parent
Participants loved getting a firsthand look at various departments, gaining insight into the industry’s fast-paced environment and the role of IT in modern production. Many were especially interested in learning how we continuously evolve to stay ahead in a shifting market.
“It was fantastic to see the young people so engaged and excited about the experience. Opportunities like this give them a real insight into career paths they may have never considered before. We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Amber Walker, who joined us on the day with some of the students from St Peter’s School, ensuring they had the chance to take part in this invaluable experience.” – Alex Richards, Community Manager, Inspire 2 Ignite CIC

Beyond the Experience: Real Pathways into Employment
This Industry Experience Day wasn’t just about learning, it was about creating tangible opportunities. For those inspired to take the next step, we are offering paid work trials, traineeships, and career opportunities, ensuring that this isn’t just a one-off event but a genuine pathway into the industry. Once the current cohort has completed their work trials, we aim to run the process again later this year with another Industry Open Day, expanding the opportunity to even more young people.
Our apprenticeship and traineeship team were present throughout the day, which was truly powerful, answering questions and sharing insights from their own journeys. This gave young attendees a real sense of possibility, showing them that their own career paths in this dynamic and creative field could just be beginning.

Collaboration That Sparks Change
We are incredibly proud to have worked together to create this opportunity for young people. Providing real-world industry experiences can be truly life-changing, and the impact of this day has already been felt by those who attended.
Lee Garnett, Continuous Improvement Manager said, “The engagement and collaboration throughout the day made this a great success, as each activity unfolded the group quickly became immersed into the lifecycle of a job from Client Services through to build stage. We look forward to supporting their next steps and creating careers for young people.”
Reflecting on the experience, Sam Squire, CEO of Inspire 2 Ignite, said, “This is just the beginning. We are committed to working with partners like Moss UK to create more opportunities that bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring young people have access to real-world experiences that can shape their futures. With more opportunities on the horizon, we are excited to continue working with industry partners to create meaningful experiences that help young people gain the skills, confidence, and connections they need to shape their futures.”
