Working with our long-term client BJA Design, MacroArt was approached to supply a modular system build solution which would replicate the clients previously undertaken stand-build executions in the United States.
The design needed to utilise a proprietary system constructed from aluminium, whilst retaining the final look and finish of a traditional build approach.
In essence, the end-client desired a modular build solution, without the finished product appearing to be so to show attendees.
Functioning alongside our design and build client, the initial stand designs were adapted slightly to suit the modular approach with bespoke fixing points agreed and fabricated in order to carry a range of features and products.
Bespoke LED lightbox units were fabricated featuring halo illumination to create a glow around the outside of the frames. The lightbox graphics also utilised specialist print and lighting effects to achieve selective illumination and focus attention on specific aspects of the artwork.
Bespoke timber shelving and furniture was produced by our client, which in-turn interacted with our system by mounting onto the bespoke fixings to create ‘floating’ wall-mounted items.
The stand was pre-built at our premises in Cambridgeshire in order to permit specialist graphic treatments and adaptation to certain elements before we arrived on site in Germany.
Once all of these pre-build aspects were agreed, tested and finalised, the components were shipped for install in Frankfurt.
Working alongside our design and build contractors team, a joint approach ensured all of the customers’ requirements for the project were delivered, ultimately resulting in a very happy end client with repeat work to follow.
