MacroArt, is future-proofing its pool of talent with a new group of apprentices, all from the local area.

Three new recruits have joined recently, all hailing from within 30 miles of the company’s head office, demonstrating the wealth of local talent in the area.

Further evidence of the strength of this drive to source local talent is that they are being mentored by yet another recently qualified apprentice within MacroArt, who also lives just a few miles from the factory.

“The future of any business lies in the constant supply of keen young enthusiastic new starters, and we are fortunate to be able to find such a rich source of talent within the Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, Beds and Northants catchment area.” Said Managing Director Michael Green. “As part of our “Future Improvement” plan launched in 2019, we committed to developing talented young people from the local community via specialist print training provider, Learn2Print, to help future-proof MacroArt’s ‘experience bank’. To date, we have seen almost a dozen new starters join us.” He added.

19-year-old Callum Thorne has recently completed his apprenticeship at MacroArt, passing with flying colours, and one of his first jobs has been to show the new cohort of apprentices the ropes, sharing his experience of the process to help them settle into their new roles.

“The opportunity that my apprenticeship at MacroArt has presented me with has been fantastic, and I’m really thrilled to be able to help the next wave of local talent make the most of their chances in such a forward-thinking firm,” he said.

New local recruits Ben Sulivan (19), Geneve Nurr (29) and Callum Berry (27) are now firmly involved in every area of MacroArt’s business, learning skills in several departments, from production and design to admin and finishing.
